the hippest geek products for littles

August 28, 2014 | In: kids, little style

In honor of my husband’s 33rd birthday today, I couldn’t resist doing a round-up of my favorite geeky products for the littles. Yes, I did a similar round-up last year and yes, I’ll likely do a similar one every year on his birthday because there are always so many rad geeky products for babies and kids.

Although you may not know it when you first meet him, my husband is a total geek. This is the man who spent many college weekends playing Settlers of Catan with friends, who only wore free t-shirts throughout most of his youth and college days, and says weird things like he’s waiting for a car to “vacate its parking space.” While over at a friend’s house yesterday, we were mentioning to her we were planning to buy a larger home in spring 2017. Why spring 2017, she asked? I have no clue, but that’s the plan according to Ryan’s color-coded series of excel spreadsheets detailing our life plans. Wait! You want to know right now exactly how much interest and how much principal we will have paid on our house in November of 2025? You’re in luck – that’s in there too! But he’s a good one, a real good one. And he’s totally OK with the endless teasing, so we’re a good pair.

So here we go, the hippest geeky products for kids!

We were given the Baby Manual book as a gift from a coworker. Both my husband and I are in IT. That book was awesome. I think I read it all in one night and laughed on every page. (It had great advice too)

Haha, yes I love it too! My husband is an engineer and my best friend gave it to him as a baby gift before Mae was born. That was the first time I’d seen it! 🙂
