Found a very rare sale on the popular Ubbi Diaper Pail! They retail for $79.99, but are marked down 20% to just $63.99 in multiple colors over on Amazon, including both white and gray.
We own the white Ubbi Diaper Pail and have been completely happy with it. The sleek, modern design is perfect for Mae’s tiny bedroom and I like that it’s steel instead of plastic. One of my favorite features is that it takes regular ol’ 13 gallon trash bags (I buy the odor-absorbing kind). No need to spend money on pricey diaper pail inserts with the Ubbi, which makes the cost of the diaper pail a little less hard to swallow (trust me, you’ll be using a lot of bags over the course of a few years). Plus it has a lock on the top to keep curious little ones from trying to open it. And the smell? We’ve been happy with how well it contains smells. Yes, sometimes when you open the lid and it has a lot of old smelly diapers in it you will know, but for us that happens when we haven’t been good about emptying it. When we do that regularly, it does a fine job at containing the smell. Plus you can add an odor eliminator to the inside to help out too.
For those that cloth diaper, Ubbi offers a cloth diaper pail liner that’s washable. You can also buy plastic bag inserts for it, but we’ve just always used regular trash bags. (Update: I just read that their plastic bag inserts are eco-friendly and they have awesome reviews – might have to try them out!)
