little deal // maxi cosi pria 70 convertible car seat

July 20, 2015 | In: deals

Happy Monday! I hope you guys had a fab weekend. We were in baby prep mode all weekend (I’m 38 weeks today! Ahhh!) and one of our priorities was to get the baby’s car seat installed and to clean Mae’s. Both the baby and Mae have Maxi Cosi car seats – I’ve been using them since the very beginning. And since there’s a pretty good deal on the Maxi Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat happening now, I thought today was a good day to share! Plus of course why I la-la-la-love them!

The Maxi Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat is currently marked down 20% on Amazon, plus you’ll receive a $25 gift card with purchase! (For those on a mobile device add the car seat here and the gift card here.) This is a pretty good deal for this car seat, one that rarely drops in price much more than this! (They’re also offering a gift card with purchase on infant car seats too!)

Maxi Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat - Gray Gravel
One of the most well-loved features of the Maxi Cosi Pria 70 is the premium fabric that’s machine washable! Oh yes! The fabric of the 2015 model is self-wicking too, meaning it draws liquid off your child to keep them dry. When you want to clean the car seat, you don’t even have to remove the car seat from the car to take off the fabric. The new design has snaps so that the seat pad and harness cushions can easily be removed and then thrown in the washer and dryer! Oh, and I totally love that cup holder too.

The Pria 70 is of course also top rated for safety and features Air Protect for advanced side impact protection. It fits children in rear-facing from 9 pounds up to 40 pounds (and up to 40 inches), and forward facing from 22 to 55 pounds (and up to 52 inches), both of which benefit from Air Protect. It also has a one click LATCH system for better installation and deep recline adjustment for easier rear-facing installation and front-seat occupant positioning. Also has a one-hand harness and headrest adjustment.

And just in case you’re interested, Nordstrom has a Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat in an exclusive print (which I love) included in the Anniversary Sale!

*To be eligible for the additional gift card, the car seat must be shipped & sold directly from Amazon. If there is a delay in shipment from Amazon, it will default to a 3rd party retailer but you can change back to to Amazon under the “other sellers” link. And if Amazon still doesn’t have what you’re looking for, you can get this deal over at Diapers.com too with code PRIAGWP at checkout.

I had bought this carseat for my son and was so excited to use it, but after getting two (had manufacturer send a new one) we could not for the life of us figure out how to loosen the harness. The only way we could was to pull it from behind the carseat, but obviously that wouldn’t be doable when forward facing. I loved everything else about it though!

I had the same problem with our 2014 Pria 70! I’ve been trying for months to work it out with the company. They sent me a new one too, with the same problem. I really like the seat otherwise. Can you please tell me if yours was 2014 or a different year? I’m hoping the 2015 doesn’t have that problem.

We have trouble with tightening and loosening the straps as well. Is that something that’s to be expected with this seat? I love the fabric and ease of being able to wash it but getting my child in and out can be very difficult! I think I need to send it back to the manufacturer. Any tips on tightening and loosening the straps?
